Prior to the first day of school,  the following items should be submitted to the School Office:

• An original Birth Certificate must be witnessed by the school’s Assistant Director/Business Administrator or Director. Parents should contact the local Bureau of Vital Statistics in the state in which their children were born for this document. If you plan to enroll your child in this school, it would be wise to contact your local Bureau now.

• Every student is required to have on file a current Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Physical Examination and Immunization Form which is completed and signed by a licensed physician based upon a current physical examination.

 

Once school starts, we ask that each child have the following:

• A lunch box and non-spill, refillable drink container filled with water.  We have fewer accidents and less frustration when using drink containers with flip top lids.  Please be sure the lunch box fits inside the tote bag.  Label ALL lunch box/drink containers/other items including tops, spoons, etc., with your child's name.

• Pocket Folder with Child’s first and last name on it. (Pockets on the bottom of the folder preferred.)

• A large tote bag at least 20" x 16".  A simple tote bag is best.  Be sure that lunch box and folder fit easily. We ask that the bag have an open top without zippers, buckles, etc.  Please refrain from using any diaper bags and back packs.   We encourage independence and this allows the children to pack and unpack their own bag with ease.

Please note that a child must be potty trained prior to his/her entrance in the school for any program other than the 2's or Young 3's. Please note the age-admission guidelines for the various programs listed in the Classes section.
