COVID-19 and Returning to School

As we prepare for the start of the year, please know that we are monitoring all guidance, mandates and requirements in regards to COVID-19.    At this time, the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry currently requires all school staff and teachers to wear a mask while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.  Therefore, all Bon View teachers and staff will be masked indoors as required.   As things are constantly changing, we will certainly notify parents as things change in terms of requirements, mandates, etc.

Currently, our state governing agency is not requiring that preschool children wear masks to school.   We completely understand that there are concerns regarding masks on both sides.   At this time, it is the policy of  The Bon View School, that it is the parent's choice as to whether they would like their child to wear a mask at school.   This will allow parents to make the best choice for their own child and their optimal development.   If  you choose to send your child in a mask, our teachers will do their absolute best to keep it on them while in our school building.   We will notify parents if things change in terms of requirements, mandates, etc.

We seek to provide your children with the best preschool experience possible, while also trying to keep them and our staff safe and healthy.   It is important that we work together as a community in order to keep all of our children and staff as healthy as possible.   Therefore, we ask all parents to complete the COVID Acknowledgement and Disclosure Form here.   Please note that we consider this to be the utmost of importance, therefore, your completion of this form is required for your child to start school in September.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission and this school!

Sincerely,

Lisa Zambito
