Program Information
Our half-day preschool programs offer students engaging learning opportunities in friendly, relaxed and nurturing classroom environments. Our groups are small—meeting National Accreditation guidelines.

At Bon View the uniqueness  of every child is valued, and the staff understands that each child‘s development occurs according to his/her own time schedule. Accordingly, our staff is well prepared to assess and provide for the needs of the children and to work closely with their families to maximize each child‘s potential.

The Five's Program is composed of children who turn FIVE by early fall of the year enrolled; preference in enrollment will be given to those children who turn five by September 30 of the year enrolled.  Although these children are chronologically old enough for Kindergarten; their parents’ objective in enrolling them in the 5’s Program is to give them the “gift of time” for further development prior to entering kindergarten.  The children are assigned according to age in these two five-day (Monday-Friday) groups; their hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Teacher and Assistant Teacher are assigned to each group.

The Four's Program consists of two formats:  3-day (two classes) and 5-day (one class). The 3-day 4's attend on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The children in this program are also assigned to their groups according to chronological age.  Preference in enrolling will be given to children who are four years old on or before August 1 of the year enrolled. The 5-day 4's attend school Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Preference is given to children who turn four by May 1 of the year enrolled and to current Bon View students.  A Teacher and Assistant Teacher are assigned to each group.

The Three's/Young Four’s Program consists of four different groups-three 3-day groups and one 2-day group; all attend from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A Teacher and Assistant Teacher are assigned to each group.

The Monday-Wednesday-Friday and Tuesday-Thursday-Friday groups were designed for the young four year old.  First preference for the M-W-F group will be given to children who turn 4 by December 31 of the year enrolled. The T-Th-F group is designed for children who turn 3 by May 1 of the year enrolled.

The Monday-Tuesday-Thursday and Tuesday-Thursday groups were designed for 3 year olds who turn three by July 1 of the year enrolled.

The Young Three’s Program consists of two different groups—both attend from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday groups were designed for children who turn 3 in the summer and fall of the year enrolled.  It is not a requirement that these children will be toilet trained prior to their entrance in school.  Preference for enrolling in these groups will be given to children who turn 3 by October 31 of the year enrolled.  A Teacher and 2 Assistant Teachers are assigned to each group.

The Two’s Program consists of two different groups—both attend from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  The Wednesday-Friday and Tuesday-Thursday groups were created for children who are 2 to 2-1/2  years old; preference will be given to the children who will be 2-1/2 by September 1 of the year enrolled. It is not a requirement that these children will be toilet trained prior to their entrance in school.  A Teacher and 2 Assistant Teachers are assigned to each group.

It is an expectation that all of the children enrolled in the 3’s/4’s, 4's or 5’s programs will be toilet trained by the first day of school. Enrollment in the 2’s or Young 3’s is the appropriate placement for children not yet toilet trained.
